IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN MODEL WAVE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KIMIA SISWA SMA

Abstract: The Implementation of WAVE Model to Improve Students’ Learning Achievement of Chemistry at SMA Negeri 1 Rendang.This research is a classroom action research involving students of class XI PSIA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Rendang. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive (knowledge), affective (attitude), psychomotor (skills), and describe the response (opinion) on the implementation of student learning model WAVE. The results showed that the implementation of WAVE model could be accepted by the students in order to improve their learning achievement and basic competence. It can be seen from the mean score of the cognitive aspect: 57.81 (34.38%) in the first cycle, 66.88 (53.13%) in the second cycle, and 76.56 (100%) in the third cycle. In the affective aspect, the mean scores are 8.05 (50.00%) under unfavorable category in the first cycle, 10.45 (62.50%) under sufficient category in the second cycle, and 11.97 (75.00%) with good category in the third cycle. In the psychomotor aspect, the mean scores are 8.64 (53.13%) under less high category in the first cycle, 10.66 (59.38%) classified quite high category, and 12.67 (62.50%) under high category. The students’ response in terms of the mean scores show 37.19 (56.25%) categorized less positive in the first cycle, 46.66 (59.38%) categorized positive enough, and 55.84 (65.63%) categorized positive.

Abstrak: Implementasi Pembelajaran Model WAVE untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kimia Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Rendang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan siswa kelas XI PSIA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Rendang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada aspek  kognitif (pengetahuan), afektif (sikap), psikomotor (keterampilan), dan  mendeskripsikan respon (pendapat) siswa terhadap implementasi model pembelajaran WAVE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran WAVE dapat diterima siswa dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar yang lebih baik dan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi dasar siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata aspek kognitif 57,81 (34,38%) pada siklus I, 66,88 (53,13%) pada siklus II dan 76,56 (100%) pada siklus III. Pada aspek afektif  nilai rata-rata 8,05 katagori kurang baik (50,00%) pada siklus I, 10.45 katagori cukup  baik (62,50%) pada siklus II dan 11,97 katagori baik (75,00%) pada siklus III. Pada aspek psikomotor nilai rata-rata 8,64  katagori kurang tinggi (53,13%) pada siklus I, pada siklus II  nilai rata-rata 10,66 katagori cukup tinggi (59,38%) dan pada siklus III nilai rata-rata 12,67 katagori tinggi (62,50%). Demikian halnya dengan respon siswa nilai rata-rata  37,19 katagori kurang positif (56,25%) pada siklus I, di siklus II nilai rata-rata 46,66 ada pada katagori cukup positif (59,38%), dan pada siklus III diperoleh nilai rata-rata 55,84  katagori positif (65,63%).
